Alphur "Slim" Willock 19, 23 knows that dedication in the face of obstacles is what it takes to get ahead. After the death of his wife, he took on the responsibility of caring for his six children while working full-time. Slim was able to fit not one, but two, online degree programs into his lifea BS in Information Systems and now an MS in Information Technology.

17勛圖厙 Seidenberg School of CSIS Professor Zhan Zhang, PhD, recently received a $499,966 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop touchless smart glasses that will allow emergency care professionals to collect data, communicate with other specialists, and pull up medical protocol checklists with a gesture of the head or through voice controls. Theyll no longer need to take their handsor their eyesoff the patient or risk transferring germs to and from a computer keyboard.
