Making the leap to college is a big transition for anyone, so several of 17�Թ���’s student leaders recently shared their best advice for first-year students. Here’s what they had to say about getting involved and finding your place as a Setter:

Remain patient and steadfast in pursing things that interest you most and remember that growth is not always linear; there is no harm in taking a step back to take another two forward. The trade-offs you make in securing your future will eventually be reciprocated if you are consistent. You are the best return on your own investment!”

There is so much kindness on campus, from your peers, to your advisors, to your teachers. Make friends with the dining staff and security by saying a quick 'hi' when you pass through. Soon, they’ll know you by name.”
