New York Is Back

A return to normal never felt so good! 17³Ô¹ÏÍø's campuses are buzzing with activity and New York is coming alive after nearly two years of life during a global pandemic.

On campus, our students have returned to classrooms, our faculty are once again at the head of the class, and 17³Ô¹ÏÍø is beginning to feel a bit more...normal. Check out the gallery below to see some of the great moments we captured early in the start of our Fall 2021 semester.

After several months of interruption due to the pandemic, 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Athletics are making a comeback. The field hockey team's latest victory has pushed the Setters' record to 8-5 this season, including a 6-4 mark inside the Northeast-10 Conference.

In NYC, we had one of the largest ever turnouts for our annual President and Provost Welcome Back Party. Despite the masks, students, staff, and faculty are thrilled to be back on campus and getting to see each other in person.

Student events, which had been somewhat limited during the height of the pandemic, have returned in full force. We're thankful to be able to host more in-person events on campus and even more thankful that we've been able to do so safely.

At our Haub Law Campus, students were able to gather with President Krislov as part of their student activities fair. Plus, how cute is that dog?

Focused students, full classrooms, can't lose! The unrivaled advantages of in-person learning are back now that we've been able to lift classroom capacity restrictions.

After a year of giving speeches via Zoom, President Krislov and Provost Quiñones are back to addressing the 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Community in person. Nobody is on mute here!

In Pleasantville, student life has returned. Clubs and organizations are recruiting new members and hosting events and more students are getting the opportunity to meet new people and try new things.

Over the summer, 17³Ô¹ÏÍø completed the second phase of the Master Plan on floors 4, 5, and 6 of One 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Plaza. These new spaces for the Lubin School of Business offer state-of-the-art classrooms and plenty of places for students to gather to both work on their academic projects and interact socially.

This year, we enrolled the biggest class of new undergraduates in at least 20 years (and possibly ever).

Now that it feels like we've reached the other side of the pandemic, even the simple joys of standing close enough for a selfie are to be appreciated like never before.

An OASIS in Westchester

For 12 years, 17³Ô¹ÏÍø has been supporting neurodiverse students and students on the autism spectrum through its Ongoing Academic Social Instructional Support (OASIS) program. This year, through initiatives from the President and Provost’s offices, OASIS has expanded its services to the 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Community in Westchester.
