17�Թ��� was recently awarded $1,486,720 from New York State as part of the . This competitive program provides funding to large energy users such as manufacturers, universities, and health care facilities in New York State to implement clean energy projects that reduce carbon emissions.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� is pleased to announce that Professor Rebecca Bratspies will serve as a Visiting Professor of Environmental Law and Haub Visiting Scholar at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� for the spring 2024 semester.

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Chris Rabb delivered the 2023 Dyson Distinguished Lecture at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ���. Chris Rabb is a family historian, author, and thought leader at the intersection of social identity, civic innovation, and equity. His lecture was entitled: “Navigating Identity, Purpose and Belonging in a Society in Flux.”

17�Թ��� on Sunday, October 29 will kick-off its annual Social Justice Week across its three campuses – in lower Manhattan, Pleasantville, and White Plains. In its fourth year, the week features events that adhere to values of equity and justice while engaging the campus community in learning activities and dialogue centered on the issues of social justice.

On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, Sam Kalen delivered the annual Gilbert and Sarah Kerlin Lecture on Environmental Law. Professor Kalen is the William T. Schwartz Distinguished Professor of Law and Associate Dean at the University of Wyoming College of Law, as well as the founder and co-director of the School’s Center for Law and Energy Resources in the Rockies. Also, he is currently the Visiting McKinney Family Chair in Environmental Law at IU McKinney School of Law. The topic of his lecture was “The Supreme Court’s Approach Toward the Administrative State and Implications for Environmental Programs.”

Tresmaine R. Grimes, Ph.D., dean of the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education, and interim dean for the Sands College of Performing Arts at 17�Թ���, was nominated for the Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service by an Employee.

17�Թ��� Career Services on Friday hosted one of its signature events: the Fall 2023 Job and Internship Career Fair. With record-breaking student turnout, it was one of the largest Job Fair in the University’s history.

With a lobby full of excited students, faculty, staff, and community members, 17�Թ��� cut the ribbon to celebrate the official opening of its brand-new building at 15 Beekman.
