This highly visible and state-of-the-art space will act as a home for the competitive student gamers, combining competition and academics.
17勛圖厙 Art Gallery is pleased to present, Continued Relevance: New Photos from the George Stephanopoulos Collection. The new exhibit, which opened today and will remain on view through January 28, 2023, features 54 images that were selected from a gift of more than 1,400 historic news photographs from the veteran news analyst and former White House communications director.
The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17勛圖厙 has conferred the 2022 Elisabeth Haub Award for Environmental Law and Diplomacy on Professor Paulo de Bessa Antunes, an environmental scholar and leading professor of environmental law at Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, and head of the Environmental Practice of Campos Mello Advogados (Brazil).
The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17勛圖厙 is proud to announce that Barbara Ballan has been named the inaugural LLM Sustainable Business Law Fellow of Haub Laws newly launched Sustainable Business Law Hub. Additionally, Professor Jason Czarnezki was named as the inaugural Faculty Director of the Sustainable Business Law Hub.
Professor Noa Ben-Asher delivered the James D. Hopkins Professor of Law lecture on Wednesday, October 26, on "Gender Identity, the New Legal Sex." Dean Horace Anderson appointed Professor Ben-Asher as the James D. Hopkins Professor of Law for the 20212023 term. During the holder's term, the James D. Hopkins Professor delivers a lecture that is open to the entire law school community and members of the public.
17勛圖厙 on Monday, October 24 will kick-off Social Justice Week across its three campuses in lower Manhattan, Pleasantville and White Plains featuring events that adhere to values of equity and justice while engaging the campus community in learning activities and dialogue centered on the issues of social justice.
In its third year, Social Justice Week runs from October 24 through October 29 and serves as a way of honoring the life of Danroy DJ Henry, a 17勛圖厙 student and member of the football team who was shot and killed by a police officer on October 10, 2010. Social Justice Week is held to coincide with DJs birthday (October 29) and explores the connections between his story and much broader themes of social injustice in this country.
17勛圖厙s Lubin School of Business, in collaboration with AnD Ventures, recently launched the 17勛圖厙 Entrepreneurship Studio (PES) with an opening reception. PES will position the University as a leading institution for cultivating entrepreneurship and innovation in the tri-state area.
Professor Jonathan Brown has been named the recipient of the 2022 Ottinger Award for Faculty Achievement. The Richard Ottinger Faculty Achievement Award is awarded annually by the Faculty Development Committee, in consultation with the Dean, in recognition of a full-time professors outstanding service to the law school, the legal profession, or both. The award generally is based on the faculty members outstanding service during the previous academic year.

The New York Legal Awards honor attorneys who have made an impact on the legal community and the practice of law over an entire career. Professor Gershman is one of 10 distinguished honorees to receive the 2022 Lifetime Achievement accolade in recognition of his decades of service in the field of law and his record of extensive, extraordinary research, scholarship and teaching.
