17�Թ���’s Actors Studio Drama School (ASDS) Master of Fine Arts Program today announced the homecoming of their acting, directing, and playwriting Class of 2021 with four consecutive weeks of live performances, beginning February 9, 2022.

Professor Craig Hart, Executive Director of the 17�Թ��� Energy and Climate Center at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ���, was named to the “2021 Energy & Environment Power 100” list published by City & State New York magazine. Distinguished Haub Law alumnus Basil Seggos ’01, Commissioner, State Department of Environmental Conservation, received the #1 ranking for his leadership in New York State’s climate change law.

17�Թ��� is launching its official Esports program, featuring the development of a dedicated esports and gaming center on its New York City campus. Starting in January 2022, and building off of existing student-led efforts, the varsity esports program will compete across multiple game titles, starting League of Legends™, Valorant™, and Super Smash Brothers™ teams, becoming 17�Թ��� Athletics’ 15th sport.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� is pleased to announce that James Toomey will join its faculty in Fall 2022 as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Law. Professor Toomey is currently a Climenko Fellow and Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School.

is partnering with 17�Թ��� to conduct a community needs assessment of programs and services available to residents. In partnering with The Helene T. and Grant M. Wilson Center for Social Entrepreneurship at 17�Թ���, The Community Fund is seeking to identify the types of services and resources available to residents, and to address any potential gaps or inadequacies in areas such as human services, health care, housing, public safety, day care, and recreation, among other vital community needs.

17�Թ��� has been awarded two grants from New York State to upgrade science laboratory space and purchase equipment to help address a critical need for more clinical lab technicians and nurses in the region.
