The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� celebrated the graduation of 284 students at its 47th Commencement Ceremony on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York. New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Commissioner Robert S. Tucker, a distinguished public servant and a proud Haub Law alumnus from the Class of 1996, delivered a powerful and heartfelt commencement address to graduates, and received the Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, the highest honor conferred by the Law School, recognizing his lifelong contributions to public service, public safety and the legal profession.

Standing before thousands of graduates and their supporters at 17�Թ���’s Commencement, urged the Class of 2025 to embrace change, pursue purpose, and think entrepreneurially—no matter their field of study.

On April 28, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� hosted a landmark symposium entitled “Obligations for Perpetual Peace and Friendship: The Treaties of the Lenape Nation.” The event marked the first time that the treaties between the Lenape and the United States were collected and studied. The Law School is situated in what was the Lenape community of Quaroppas, today White Plains, part of their ancestral homeland, Lenapehoking.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� is pleased to announce that Gregory Antill, a criminal law and philosophy scholar, will join the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Law beginning in Fall 2025. Professor Antill will teach courses in criminal law and tort law while also supervising student scholarship and research projects in the advanced legal writing seminar.

Professor Margot Pollans delivered the James D. Hopkins Memorial Lecture on Monday, April 21, on "." Dean Horace Anderson appointed Professor Pollans as the James D. Hopkins Professor of Law for the 2023–2025 term. During the holder's term, the James D. Hopkins Professor delivers a lecture that is open to the entire law school community and members of the public.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� is pleased to announce that Kate Skolnick, an accomplished public defender and respected criminal law scholar, will join the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Law beginning in Fall 2025. Professor Skolnick will teach courses in criminal law and criminal procedure, along with an advanced criminal law seminar.
