Professor Anthony Moffa delivered the Annual Lloyd K. Garrison Lecture on Environmental Law on Thursday, April 3 on "Back to the Future for Climate Liability." The Lloyd K. Garrison Lecture on Environmental Law was established in memory of Lloyd K. Garrison in 1995. Professor Anthony Moffa currently serves as a Haub Visiting Scholar at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ���. He is also a Professor and Associate Dean for Innovation at University of Maine School of Law, where he oversees the Environmental and Oceans Law Certificate Program.

17�Թ���’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law is once again ranked #1 in the country for Environmental Law by the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings, released today. Haub Law was also ranked #19 in the nation for its trial advocacy program as well as #18 for Dispute Resolution. Several other programs at Haub Law were recognized in the top rankings this year, including International Law, Health Law, Tax Law and the Law School's Part-Time Program.

The Lienhard School of Nursing, part of the College of Health Professions at 17�Թ���, has received a $206,711 grant from the to lead a three-year initiative aimed at removing barriers for students with physical disabilities in nursing education.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� is pleased to announce that distinguished alumnus New York City Fire Commissioner Robert S. Tucker will deliver the Law School’s commencement address at its 47th Commencement Ceremony, to be held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens on May 20. Commissioner Tucker will also receive the Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, the highest honor conferred by the Law School, recognizing his lifelong contributions to public service, public safety, and the legal profession.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� hosted its 30th Annual Law Leadership Dinner at the Westchester Country Club on Thursday, March 28, 2025, celebrating alumni and friends of the Law School whose achievements and support advance the mission of legal education and enrich the broader legal community.

On March 21–22, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� proudly hosted the American Tax Policy Institute (ATPI) and 17�Թ��� Environmental Law Review (PELR) Symposium on Tax Lax, the Environment, and Climate Change.

17�Թ��� is expanding its STEM offerings with the launch of a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering in fall 2026. Offered through the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, this program will be the University’s and Westchester County’s first four-year engineering degree, equipping students with essential skills in hardware/software co-design, embedded systems, and real-time computing.

On March 8–9, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 17�Թ��� hosted the 2025 Regional Round for the Americas and the Caribbean of the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition (ICC Moot). The event brought seven teams to Haub Law, with the top US teams qualifying for the global ICC Moot Court Competition held annually in The Hague, Netherlands. This year, Haub Law’s team qualified as a finalist and will be traveling to The Hague in June.

The Westchester Women's Bar Association Foundation (WWBAF) has once again recognized outstanding Haub Law students through its prestigious Justice Sondra M. Miller Scholarship, awarded in honor of Justice Miller’s legacy as a founding member and past president of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association (WWBA).
