17³Ô¹ÏÍø Academy is a program for incoming first-year students. The focus of the program is to develop students’ mindsets for college readiness and success. Students learn techniques for success in college classes with a particular focus on being successful in mathematics and mathematics-related courses. They engage with members of the 17³Ô¹ÏÍø community who show them the opportunities that 17³Ô¹ÏÍø offers students on campus. Students have an early opportunity to meet other 17³Ô¹ÏÍø students and begin to form friendships as they embark upon their exciting college experience at 17³Ô¹ÏÍø.
Students must be invited to join. Residential students will have an early move-in to student housing on the Wednesday before the first week of the fall semester. The workshops for the program run on Thursday and Friday before the first week of the fall semester for both accepted residential and commuter students to the program.
