Voice Data and Network Services
The Network and Telecommunications Services departments support 17³Ô¹ÏÍø's mission by providing a reliable and highly available data and voice communications infrastructure. To achieve its mission, the Network and Telecommunications Services departments design, install, operate, and maintain systems and services required to bring data, voice, and cable-TV services to all 17³Ô¹ÏÍø owned campus locations.
Our responsibilities include: evaluation of new technologies; design, installation, maintenance, and service of data and voice networking equipment; negotiation and selection of appropriate data, voice, and cable-TV providers; operation of the 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Information Center (311); configuration and maintenance of the Internet and campus backbone data network connections; wireless network infrastructure; cable-TV distribution infrastructure; and all other related data and voice network services.
