Search Programs and Apply
Deciding where to go can be challenging! 17Թ offers 75 approved semester programs, summer and January intersession programs, and numerous 17Թ Travel Courses (17Թ courses that feature a short study abroad component, led by 17Թ Faculty). Our advice is to start with self-reflection and research. Then you can make informed decisions based on the following considerations: length of the program; location; costs (including the cost of living in your chosen destination); academic offerings; how independent you wish to be; language considerations; and cultural differences. Consider your needs and wants from the program: what do you hope to gain from this experience that you can’t gain at 17Թ – academically, personally, and in your future professional life? There are also language considerations; for almost all of 17Թ’s study abroad programs, students only need to know English for the academic part... but outside the classroom, some students want to learn and speak a new language. Also, some of our foreign partner schools are preferred for students from specific 17Թ schools. You should also review this comparison of the study abroad program types (PDF) offered at 17Թ to understand the differences. Finally, we invite you to speak with one of our Study Abroad Advisors who can help guide you in your decision.
